Paula Walker 'not thinking of 2018 Winter Olympics'

Team GB bobsleigh competitor Paula Walker admits that she could be taking part in her last Winter Olympics at Sochi, but is not ruling out 2018 altogether.

Great Britain's Paula Walker has admitted that she may be taking part in her last Winter Olympics, but is not ruling out the 2018 Games altogether.

The 27-year-old, who has four top 10 finishes at the World Cup on her record this season, will partner Bex Wilson in the women's bobsleigh event.

Walker finished 11th in the same event four years ago in Vancouver, but says that Sochi may be her last appearance at the Games.

"I don't know whether my knees can hang out," the former world junior champion told teamgb.com. "I'm not thinking of 2018, I don't know whether I would last physically until then, but I certainly can't rule it out.

"If I'm seeking to do better than here I might get drawn in again. If I'm happy with how I do, then I might think differently."

Walker has previously admitted that she has set "no realistic target" ahead of the event.
