USA head coach Ryan Shimabukuro "frustrated" by performance

United States head coach Ryan Shimabukuro reveals that certain performances at the Sochi Games have left him feeling "frustrated".

Team USA head coach Ryan Shimabukuro has revealed that he has been left "frustrated" by the performance of certain athletes in Sochi.

The United States' long track team failed to win any individual medals for the first time in 30 years, something which Shimabukuro finds hard to explain.

"We're not going to do an analysis right now," Shimabukuro is quoted as saying by Desert News when asked if there would be an inquest into the failure.

"It's really hard to pinpoint. We have five different training programs, five different coaches, differing training locations and we're coming up short, to stay the least. It's frustrating. It's very confusing."

USA have so far won 23 medals at the 2014 Games.
