Team GB win men's curling opener at Sochi Games

Great Britain ease past Russia 7-4 in the men's curling tournament at the 2014 Winter Olympics.

Team GB men's curling team have kicked off their 2014 Winter Olympics campaign with a 7-4 victory over Russia.

The Britons were in control of the contest right from the start and brushed aside their hosts at the Ice Cube Curling Centre in Sochi.

This is Britain's first round-robin match in the men's category, and they will be back in action later today to take on Sweden.

Sweden themselves started their Olympic campaign with a victory, as they got the better of Switzerland 7-5.

In the morning session's other match, Denmark lost to China 7-4.
