Patrizia Kummer takes sixth gold of Games for Switzerland

Swizerland pick up their sixth gold medal of the Sochi Games courtesy of snowboarder Patrizia Kummer.

Patrizia Kummer of Switzerland has won gold in the women's snowboarding parallel giant slalom at the Rosa Khutor Extreme Park.

Kummer finished ahead of Japan's Tomoka Takeuchi, who missed a gate midway through the second run to allow the Swiss snowboarder to overtake her.

Despite finishing second, it means a first ever medal in the discipline for an Asian female.

Alena Zavarzina of Russia took the bronze medal, finishing minutes before her husband Vic Wild, who won gold in the men's event.
