Sweden's Anna Holmlund delighted with "special" Sochi medal

Anna Holmlund says that she feels "special" to have won Sweden's first ever medal in ski cross at the 2014 Sochi Games.

Sweden's Anna Holmlund has said that she is overjoyed to have won the bronze medal in the women's ski cross event at the 2014 Winter Olympics.

Holmlund's medal in Sochi is her country's first ever in ski cross and their maiden in freestyle skiing in 20 years.

"It's really special, the first medal in ski cross for Sweden," the Japan Times quotes her as saying.

"It's a good beginning for us. Of course you want to win a medal [but] the competition is really hard.

"It was harder and harder for every race. I still don't realise I have a bronze medal."

Sweden have won 14 medals in Sochi so far.
