Jossi Wells happy despite fourth place

New Zealand's freestyle skier Jossi Wells says that he is "really happy" with his display despite missing out on winning the nation's second ever medal in Sochi.

New Zealand's freestyle skier Jossi Wells has said that he is "really happy" with his display despite narrowly missing out on winning the nation's second ever Winter Olympic medal in Sochi.

Wells was third in the standings going into his second run in the half-pipe event but could only score 78.40 with his second effort and finished fourth.

He told reporters: "I'm really happy with how I skied tonight. That's what I came out here to do.

"I didn't have any expectation tonight. To land those runs I did I was really, really happy.

"To come fourth is pretty cool for me for a (half) pipe event. I haven't really been riding a whole lot of pipe recently."

American David Wise won gold with a score of 92.00, Canadian Mike Riddle won silver and Frenchman Kevin Rolland took bronze.
