Austrian alpine skier Mario Matt has hailed the "most impressive day" of his career after becoming the oldest man ever to claim alpine skiing gold at the Winter Olympic Games in Sochi.
The 34-year-old finished top after recording a time of 1:41.84.
He told reporters: "It's the most impressive day in my career. It started 14 years ago, and I'm totally happy that I made it to the finish."
The Austrian's compatriot, Marcel Hirscher, took silver, while Norway's Henrik Kristoffersen won the bronze.
