Alistair Brownlee 'looking forward' to relay

Commonwealth Games gold medallist Alistair Brownlee insists that he and brother Jonathan Brownlee will be ready for the triathlon relay this weekend.

Commonwealth Games gold medallist Alistair Brownlee has said that he and brother Jonathan Brownlee are both 'fine' for the triathlon relay this weekend.

Alistair claimed gold in the men's event this afternoon, while Jonathan finished second ahead of South African's Richard Murray.

Asked if both were fine for the team event, Alistair told reporters at a press conference: "At the moment, I feel alright. It is something we both want to do. We have got a fantastic team. We both want to turn up and give it our best shot."

Team England won four of the six medals on offer at the triathlon.
