Andy Murray breezes into Wimbledon third round

Third seed Andy Murray is through to the Wimbledon third round after easing past Robin Haase in straight sets.

Andy Murray has progressed through to the third round at Wimbledon with a comfortable victory over Robin Haase.

The third seed needed just 88 minutes to record a 6-1 6-1 6-4 triumph over the world number 78 on Court One.

After his opening match with Mikhail Kukushkin, Murray admitted that he needed to make improvements to his game, and it didn't take long for him to show his class against an opponent who has posed him problems in the past.

Haase held serve in the first game of the match, but that was as good as it got for the Dutchman during the opener as Murray broke three times, as well as dropping just one point behind his serve.

The second set followed a similar pattern, despite Haase having more success in his return games, but Murray was reading his opponent's serve and broke two more times to move closer to the last 32.

Haase improved on serve during the next set, but Murray was able to secure the solitary break that was required to earn his place in the last 32.
