Laura Robson targets improvement in 2014

Laura Robson is targeting an improved performance in 2014 after bowing out of Wimbledon at the fourth-round stage.

Laura Robson has described her progress to the fourth round at Wimbledon as an "overwhelming experience".

The British number one bowed out of the ladies' singles on Monday after losing in straight sets to Kaia Kanepi.

The 19-year-old told BBC Sport: "It's just been this overwhelming experience, It's been crazy, but in a good way, and I'm hoping to do better next year.

"I think I was putting a lot of pressure on myself, and at the end of the first set I had my chances. At that point, I was willing myself to play unbelievable tennis when just serving would have been fine. I know it's a cliche, but it's all part of the experience."

Robson is expected to move into the top 30 of the WTA rankings at the end of the tournament.
