Juan Martin del Potro insists that his fitness is not an issue ahead of his semi-final against Novak Djokovic.

Juan Martin del Potro has downplayed the knee injury he aggravated during his Wimbledon quarter-final win over David Ferrer.

The Argentine insisted that he will be fully fit for his semi-final against world number one Novak Djokovic on Friday after making it through a training session.

"I am okay. I think I will be better for tomorrow [Friday]. I will think about the match, about Nole [Djokovic] and nothing else," Sky Sports News quotes him as saying.

"It will be a difficult day but I will try to play better than yesterday and try to win. Nole is world Number one. Not many can beat him and he is a big favourite for the tournament, but I will try to win."

The winner of the semi-final between Del Potro and Djokovic will take on either Andy Murray or Jerzy Janowicz in the final.
