Eugenie Bouchard eyes Wimbledon run

Eugenie Bouchard reveals that she is eager to make more progress at Wimbledon after reaching the fourth round for the first time in her career.

Eugenie Bouchard has revealed that she is desperate to go further at Wimbledon after reaching the fourth round for the first time in her career.

The 20-year-old Canadian sealed her place in the second round of the tournament on Saturday with a 6-3 6-4 win over Andrea Petkovic.

Despite making sure of a best ever showing at SW19, Bouchard claims that she will not be satisfied until she makes more progress.

"I wouldn't consider myself deep into Wimbledon at this stage," she told reporters. "I'm into the second week, which is great, but I want to go so much further. At the same time I'm focused on one match at a time.

"Of course, Wimbledon is probably the most prestigious tournament in the world. It's a special place to be here and I would love to stay a really long time."

Bouchard will now face Frenchwoman Alize Cornet for a spot in the quarter-finals at SW19.
