Novak Djokovic sets his sights on a career Grand Slam with a French Open victory.

Novak Djokovic has revealed that he has his eye on winning the French Open.

The world number one beat Rafael Nadal to the US Open title last night, giving him his third Grand Slam crown of the season following victory at the Australian Open and Wimbledon.

The Serb, who now has four Grand Slams to his name, has won the Australian Open twice but has yet to triumph at Roland Garros.

"There is still a lot of things to prove, you know, to myself, to the tennis world," he said after his victory. "I still want to win many more events, many more major events.

"It's not just habit of standing up every morning and being focused on what you do. It's just that love for the sport that keeps me going. And winning on the court, that feeling, as along as it stays with me, I will keep fighting for more trophies.

"Yeah, so it would be unbelievable to be able to complete the Grand Slam, to win the French Open. It's something that is definitely an ambition, but it's going to take time."

Djokovic is next scheduled to play in the Davis Cup semi-finals in Belgrade this weekend.
