Great Britain's wheelchair tennis pair crash out of final 16

Great Britain duo Alexander Jewitt and Dave Phillipson fail to reach the final 16 after losing in straight sets in the men's wheelchair tennis doubles.

Great Britain's wheelchair tennis doubles team Alexander Jewitt and Dave Phillipson have failed to progress into the final eight of the Paralympic Games.

The duo couldn't get off to a bright start in the opening set against French team Stephane Houdet and Michael Jeremiasz, who stormed to a six to love win in the opening set after holding their serve well.

The Brits tried to force a comeback but it was to no avail as the pair crashed out to a 6-2 loss in the second set.

Hewitt dropped out of the men's singles after losing in straight sets to Japan's Saida Satoshi.
