Andy Murray has insisted that he and partner Laura Robson deserved to win their mixed doubles semi-final at the Olympics this afternoon with a dramatic victory over Sabine Lisicki and Christopher Kas.
It took a 10-7 win in a Champions tie-break for the British duo to progress through to Sunday's gold medal match at Wimbledon.
"There were some nerves there but we played really good stuff, we deserved to win that match, and I'm really happy we did," Murray told BBC Sport.
"If it had gone the other way it would have been a really disappointing end to the day."
Murray is now guaranteed two medals at the Games with his gold medal match against Roger Federer in the men's singles also taking place tomorrow.
