Juan Martin del Potro has recorded a three-set victory over Philipp Kohlschreiber to advance through to the third round of the Shanghai Masters.
Kohlschreiber looked the stronger of the two players in taking a one-set lead, before Del Potro fought back to seal a 3-6 6-3 7-6 triumph.
A solitary break of serve was enough for Kohlschreiber to take the opening set as he looked on course to stun the former US Open champion.
However, Del Potro turned things around during the second, despite a high first-serve percentage from the German, to take the match into a decider.
Del Potro failed to serve out the match at 5-4, but he recovered to get the better of the German in the tie-break to secure his play in the last 16.
