Agnieszka Radwanska defeats Irina-Camelia Begu to progress in Miami

Number seven seed Agnieszka Radwanska defeats Irina-Camelia Begu in three sets to progress to the fourth round of the Miami Masters.

Agnieszka Radwanska advanced to the fourth round of the Miami Masters courtesy of victory over Irina-Camelia Begu in three sets.

The number seven seed started the match well as she managed to break the serve of the Romanian three times with a strong return game as she clinched the first set 6-2.

However, Begu forced her way back into the match with a impressive array of strokes to break Radwanska, only to lose her serve a short time later.

The number 31 seed regained her composure to level the match with another break to claim a 6-4 victory in the second.

In the deciding set, Radwanska found her form again on her return to wrestle the initiative away from Begu, earning two breaks of serve,while holding her own to take the set 6-2 and earn a place in the fourth round.

The 26-year-old will play Carla Suarez Navarro in the last 16 of the competition.
