Rafael Nadal eases through to German Open semi-finals

Top seed Rafael Nadal is through to the semi-finals of the German Open after a comfortable win over Pablo Cuevas.

Rafael Nadal has recorded a straight-sets victory over Pablo Cuevas to reach the German Open semi-finals.

Cuevas had troubled the left-hander in their only previous meeting in Rio de Janeiro earlier this year, but he was no match for the Spaniard who raced through to the last four.

Nadal broke three times during the opening set before he struck twice more to eventually run out a 6-3 6-2 victor.

The top seed will play Andreas Seppi on Saturday afternoon after the Italian was given a walkover by compatriot Simone Bolelli.
