Gael Monfils won the Open Sud de France championship by beating Richard Gasquet in an all-French final on Sunday.
Monfils hit nine aces and did not face a single break point en route to securing a 6-4 6-4 victory over the defending champion in Montpellier.
After the match, Monfils told reporters: "This is unbelievable for me.
"I had some back problems at the beginning of the week and I didn't know if I was going to be able to play, so to now have the trophy is pretty crazy.
"I have been elevating my game match after match and I am extremely proud of the way I played today."
Monfils has now won five ATP Tour titles, having appeared in 21 finals.
