Kyle Edmund powers to Binghamton title

British number four Kyle Edmund powers past Bjorn Fratangelo to win the Binghamton Challenger title.

Kyle Edmund has recorded a straight-sets win over Bjorn Fratangelo to win the Binghamton Challenger title.

The British number four needed just 65 minutes to complete an emphatic 6-2 6-3 success over the American to win his second challenger crown of 2015.

The 20-year-old broke twice in the opening set to move closer to victory before he conceded just four points on serve during the second as he closed out the triumph in fine style.

The win sees Edmund close in on a place in the world's top 100, with the Beverley hitter expected to move up to world number 104 on Monday.
