Kyle Edmund earns place in Binghamton quarter-finals

British number four Kyle Edmund is through to the quarter-finals of the Binghamton Challenger after a three-set win over Noah Rubin.

Kyle Edmund has defeated American Noah Rubin in three sets to earn a place in the Binghamton Challenger quarter-finals.

On Thursday night, Rubin ensured that he remained in the match by prevailing in a second-set tie-break before darkness resulted in the conclusion of the contest being moved to Friday.

However, when the two players returned, Edmund quickly secured a vital break of serve before he confidently served the match out for a 7-5 6-7 6-4 triumph over the talented 19-year-old.

The British number four will now play Mitchell Krueger for a place in the semi-finals.
