Novak Djokovic eases through in Dubai

Novak Djokovic sees off Uzbekistan's Denis Istomin in the first round of the Dubai Tennis Championships.

World number two Novak Djokovic advanced through to the second round of the Dubai Tennis Championships with a 6-3 6-3 win over Denis Istomin this afternoon.

The Serb was on the offensive from the very first game and went on to open up a one-set lead in just 37 minutes.

Istomin, ranked 54 in the world, put up a bit more resistance during the second set, but it wasn't enough to force a deciding set.

Djokovic, who has won the tournament on four previous occasions, will now take on Roberto Bautista-Agut for a place in the quarter-finals.
