South Africa's Kevin Anderson has advanced through to round two of the Paris Masters with a 6-3 4-6 6-4 victory over Gilles Muller this afternoon.
The 25-year-old, who has produced a career-best season this year, struck 13 aces and won 80% of service points against Luxembourg's Muller.
The win means that Anderson's career statistics now read 42 victories and 26 losses.
He will take on Frenchman and number 16 seed Richard Gasquet in the next round.
