Heather Watson reveals that she will take a break from tennis following her opening round Miami Masters defeat.

British number one Heather Watson has revealed that she will take a break from the game following her defeat in Miami.

The 20-year-old suffered a 1-6 7-5[4] 6-4 loss at the hands of Japan's Ayumi Morita in the Miami Masters first round.

"This year I've been going a bit too long so I'm a bit burnt out," Watson told BBC Radio Five Live. "I've been thinking about it now for a while and I'm going to take a break."

Watson also lost in the first round of the Indian Wells Masters to Irina-Camelia Begu earlier this month.
