Andy Murray wary of Joao Sousa

Andy Murray refuses to be complacent ahead of his meeting with Portugal's Joao Sousa in Mexico.

Great Britain's Andy Murray has admitted that he could be given a tough match by Joao Sousa at the Mexican Open.

The world number seven set up the meeting with the Portuguese player thanks to a 3-6 6-1 6-2 victory over Pablo Andujar earlier today.

Murray defeated Sousa at last year's Australian Open, but the 26-year-old has insisted that the hard surface will make his opponent dangerous.

"He was new on the tour then and he has improved. He's playing good tennis. He's good on clay and on hard courts. He plays similar to Pablo. Hopefully I can play aggressively from the start," said the Scot.

Murray has never previously appeared at the ongoing tournament in Acapulco.
