Andy Murray to meet surgeon today

British number one Andy Murray plans to meet with medical experts today to discover how well his body has recovered following last month's back surgery.

Wimbledon champion Andy Murray will meet with medical experts today to discover how well his body has recovered following last month's surgery.

The British number one went under the knife two weeks ago in an attempt to tackle the recurring back injury that forced him to miss the French Open in May.

Murray will not feature in November's ATP World Tour Finals, but he should be back on court in time for the Australian Open and Great Britain's Davis Cup tie with the USA in January.

The Scot, 26, appeared to be in a positive mood regarding his recovery last night.

He tweeted: "Seeing surgeon/doctor for first time since surgery tomorrow, fingers crossed everything is healing properly and I can start rehab soon!"

Murray is currently ranked third in the world, but he could be overtaken by Spain's David Ferrer before the end of the season.
