Richard Gasquet has kept his hopes of securing French Open glory alive by defeating Michal Przysiezny 6-3 6-3 6-0 in the second round of the tournament.
It was a solid start from the Frenchman, who was able to launch swift returns to Przysiezny's serve to enable a vital break, which allowed him to push on and grab a one-set lead.
Przysiezny tried to take control of the clay court at the start of the second set, but he was broken once again as Gasquet impressed with strong shots across the surface.
After taking the second set, Gasquet was able to snatch a break at the first time of asking, followed by an immediate hold, which gave him a 3-0 lead in the set.
It wasn't long before Gasquet broke again to wrap up the contest, leaving Przysiezny without one game on the board in the third set.
