Jelena Jankovic cruises past Roberto Vinci

Jelena Jankovic is through to the semi-finals at the Cincinnati Masters after beating Roberta Vinci in the last eight.

Jelena Jankovic has eased into the semi-finals at the Cincinnati Masters with a 6-0 6-4 win over Roberta Vince in the last eight.

The former world number one made light work of the first set, breaking her opponent three times to prevent the Italian from claiming a single game.

Vinci provided little threat against the Serbian's serve, allowing her to secure 80% of the points off her first serve.

The 12th seed fought back in the second set, going a break up early on to find herself 4-3 up as Jankovic struggled with her serve.

However, the Serb regained her form from the first set to save eight break points and take three games in a row.

Jankovic will face either Caroline Wozniacki or Victoria Azarenka in the last four.
