Tomas Berdych served brilliantly on Monday as he beat Kazakhstan's Aleksandr Nedovyesov in straight sets to book his place in round two of the 2014 Australian Open.
The seventh seed, who won 6-3 6-4 6-3, hit nine aces and his fastest serve was clocked at 218 kph.
He was forced to save two break points, both in the first set, but Nedovyesov won just 13 of 71 receiving points throughout the 110-minute match.
Berdych made 35 winners and 17 unforced errors. He will take on either China's Wu Di or France's Kenny De Schepper in the second round.
