Benjamin Becker beats Lleyton Hewitt in five sets

Benjamin Becker is through the third round after he beat Lleyton Hewitt in five sets.

Benjamin Becker is through to the Australian Open third round, after he came from two sets down to beat Lleyton Hewitt.

Hewitt looked like he was going to ease through to the next round with no issues after a dominant opening two sets, which he won 6-2 6-1.

However, Becker began to play with more freedom as he pegged the Australian back at the beginning of the third, which he eventually won 6-3, and he raced into a 4-0 lead in the fourth.

Hewitt broke Becker back but the German had enough to see out the set and take the match to a decider, which he breezed through as Hewitt began to fade.

Becker will now face Milos Raonic in the next round.
