GB's Ross Murdoch in shock after winning world bronze medal in 100m breaststroke

Great Britain's Ross Murdoch admits that he is in disbelief over winning a bronze medal in the 100m breaststroke at the World Championships in Kazan, Russia.

Great Britain's Ross Murdoch has admitted that he "can't believe" he has clinched a world bronze medal at the World Championships in Kazan, Russia.

The Scotsman finished third in the men's 100m breaststroke final on Monday, while teammate Adam Peaty clinched gold.

"I can't believe I got my hands on that world medal," Murdoch told BBC Sport. "I'm the fastest I've ever been. That gives me a lot of confidence going into next year for the front end of that 200."

South Africa's Cameron van der Burgh earned the silver medal.
