Hannah Miley: 'Not making Worlds team is not end of the world'

Great Britain's Hannah Miley admits that it would not be the "end of the world" if she failed to make the swimming team for the World Championships in Russia.

British swimmer Hannah Miley has admitted that not being included in the World Championship team will not be "the end of the world".

The 25-year-old is due to compete in the 400m individual medley at the British Championships this week, with one eye on qualification for the meet in Kazan, Russia this summer.

"Making the Worlds team is definitely the target," BBC Sport quotes Miley as saying. "If something happens and that's not the case then it's not the end of the world.

"I've still got another year to qualify for Rio. I know from watching the other trials that have been going on there have been a few big names who've not made the teams."

Miley won gold in the 400m IM at the Commonwealth Games last year in Glasgow.
