Team GB's Holly Hibbott sets blistering pace in 200m butterfly heats in Baku

Great Britain's Holly Hibbott finishes more than one second ahead of teammate Amelia Cylnes as both make the semis of the 200m butterfly in Baku.

Great Britain's Holly Hibbott was more than one second faster than her rivals during the 200m butterfly heats in Baku this morning.

Hibbott, aged 15 from Southport, comfortably won the third heat after clocking a time of 2:12.07.

Team GB's Amelia Clynes recorded the second-fastest time overall (2:13.15) after finishing first in her heat.

It was heartbreak for Laura Stephens, however, as her time of 2:13.69 was not enough to qualify, with only two swimmers from each nation allowed into the next round.

The semi-finals will take place this afternoon in the Baku Aquatics Centre.
