Mexico has announced that they are stepping down as host of the 2017 world swimming championships.
The city of Guadalajara was due to host the two-week event, but due to falling oil prices they are no longer able to stage the event.
Hosting the championships would have cost $100m (£65m) and the city have already spent $9.5m (£6.18) in preparation.
This year's event is due take place in the Russian city of Kazan, but the International Swimming Federation FINA has not yet revealed who will replace Guadalajara.
