Chris Walker-Hebborn picks up gold in 100m backstroke

England's Chris Walker-Hebborn sets a new Commonwealth Games record to claim gold in the 100m backstroke final.

England's Chris Walker-Hebborn has won 100m backstroke gold at the Commonwealth Games with a dominant display in Glasgow.

Walker-Hebborn pulled away in the second half of the race to set a new Commonwealth record, and finished with clear breathing space between himself and Australia's Mitch Larkin.

Liam Tancock made it two medals from the race for England as he claimed a share of third place with Josh Beaver after both swimmers came 0.63s behind the winner.

Scotland's Craig McNally could only manage to finish seventh in the final.
