Liam Tancock has insisted that the atmosphere among the British swimmers breeds a desire of success.
The 29-year-old, who has nabbed two bronze medals at the Glasgow Commonwealth Games so far, is part of an England team who have so far won 19 swimming medals, while Scotland have nine and Wales have three to their name.
Two years ago, Great Britain had an unsuccessful stint in the pool during the London 2012 Olympics, but Tancock is confident that everything is coming together.
"It's fantastic," Tancock told Sports Mole. "I've been around the block, I've been on these teams for years and years - third Commonwealth Games, I've been to two Olympics and the relaxed [nature] of the team is something pretty special.
"We've got a great team and it has been fantastic. We've got a great support network and everyone's out for swimming fast. There's no egos kicking about, it's just about swimming fast and doing everything to make the athletes do that. I think we've been waiting for this a long time - it's finally coming and I think we're seeing the results in the pool."
Tancock's teammates Fran Halsall, Ben Proud, Adam Peaty and Chris Walker-Hebborn have all won golds in Glasgow.
