Adam Brown aims to improve in time for 100m freestyle semi-final

Team England's Adam Brown tells Sports Mole that he needs to make improvements before tonight's 100m freestyle semi-final.

Team England swimmer Adam Brown believes that he has a few things to work on in order to qualify for the 100m freestyle final at the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow.

The 25-year-old finished third fastest overall after winning this morning's heat in 49.60s.

His teammate Ben Proud, who won England's first gold last night, secured the fourth-fastest time in the heat.

"Overall, I just [need to] pick up the tempo a little bit, increase the late kick, maybe build into the turn a little bit more," Brown told Sports Mole. "A few things just to finish the race pretty good and hopefully qualify for tomorrow night's final."

Brown claimed a bronze medal with his teammates in the 4x100m freestyle relay last night.
