Video: Watch: Pigeon disrupts play at World Snooker Championship

A pigeon has disrupted play at the World Snooker Championship, making its way into the Crucible and landing on a table.

A match at the World Snooker Championship was briefly disrupted when a pigeon made its way into the Crucible and landed on a table.

Towards the end of Friday's afternoon session, Mark Selby and Yan Bingtao were waiting to start the next frame of their second-round clash when a pigeon descended from the rafters.

It initially landed on the floor before flying onto the edge of the table, walking towards the middle pocket rather than encroaching onto the green cloth.

The pigeon was soon shooed away and returned to a different vantage point at the Sheffield venue before play was allowed to continue.

Selby and Yan are locked at 4-4 after the first session of their best-of-25 meeting.
