Stephen Hendry has claimed that he can win this year's World Championship after his surprise second-round victory over defending champion John Higgins on Saturday.
Having ended Friday's session 12-4 ahead at the Crucible, the seven-time champion wrapped up the match quickly against his fellow Scot.
When asked if he thought that he could win the title for an eighth time, Hendry told BBC Sport: "Of course I can, but there are a few other players who will have something to say about that.
"I'm hitting the ball as well as I have for a long time and there's no place where I feel more comfortable than the Crucible.
"I'm fortunate that John's probably never played as badly as that in his life at the Crucible. You feel lucky when you get one or two chances against John in a frame, but at times I was getting five and six chances."
Hendry will now face Stephen Maguire for a place in the semi-finals.
