Former snooker world champion Ken Doherty has claimed that Stephen Lee's career is all but over following his 12-year ban for match-fixing.
The 39-year-old heard his punishment on Wednesday after being found guilty of fixing seven matches between 2008 and 2009.
When asked if Lee's career is finished, Doherty told BBC Sport: "Absolutely. I don't think he can come back from this.
"He can keep playing and play money matches, but how long can you keep doing that? He's 39 years of age and has got a family to support."
Lee has continued to maintain his innocence after receiving the suspension.
