Eight sailors selected by Great Britain for Rio 2016 Olympics

Great Britain name eight sailors, including Giles Scott, in their team for the Rio 2016 Olympics.

Eight sailors have been selected by Great Britain to compete in next year's Rio Olympic Games.

Giles Scott is one of the first to be chosen as he gears up for the Finn class, in which retired Sir Ben Ainslie won four Olympic golds.

Windsurfer Bryony Shaw has been named in the lineup, while Saskia Clark and Hannah Mills have been included after they took silver in the 470 at the London 2012 Olympics.

It is a first call-up for Laser world champion Nick Thompson, while Alison Young, who competed at London 2012, will fight for a medal in the Laser Radial.

Luke Patience and Elliot Willis, who is a two-time world champion, will be teamed together for the 470 men's event.
