Scotland skipper Greig Laidlaw frustrated with sluggish second-half display

Scotland captain Greig Laidlaw admits his annoyance at seeing his side again fade in the second half of a Six Nations game in their defeat against Ireland.

Scotland captain Greig Laidlaw expressed his frustration after another below-par second-half performance from his side in the Six Nations.

In this afternoon's home match with Ireland on the final day of the tournament, Scotland were within 10 points of the visitors are half time but allowed 20 points without reply in the second period.

It is not the first time that the Scots have let a lead slip in the tournament and Laidlaw singled out their failure to drive forward from their own half.

"[The second half] is something we've spoke about this week as well," he told reporters. "Where we're becoming poor is because we can't exert pressure from our own half.

"If we're playing in competitions like this, if you can't exert pressure from your own half, you're going to be in trouble and again it proved [to be that way] today."

Defeat to Ireland made it five straight losses for Vern Cotter's Scotland in the 2015 tournament.
