Alex Goode facing spell on sidelines

Saracens full-back Alex Goode will miss Saturday's Heineken Cup clash against Racing Metro with a shoulder tear.

Saracens director of rugby Mark McCall has confirmed that full-back Alex Goode has suffered a shoulder tear and will therefore miss Saturday's Heineken Cup clash against Racing Metro.

Goode has scored 35 points in 22 appearances in the Europe's top competition, but his side will be without his services this weekend.

"Alex has a tear in his shoulder. At the minute we are looking at a non-surgical route and there's a chance he could be fit in two or three weeks' time but it all depends how his rehab goes over the next couple of weeks," McCall told Sky Sports News.

The injury also places his Six Nations participation in doubt.
