Dai Young admits that London Wasps' poor ball retention meant that they deserved to lose to Saracens.

London Wasps director of rugby Dai Young has stated his disappointment at his side's inability to control the ball during their 22-13 defeat to Saracens on Saturday afternoon.

Young admitted that the number of handling errors by Wasps was too high for them to have got anything from the game.

"I thought that today was a game that we didn't ever have control of," he told the club's official website. "We started well but I was very disappointed with our accuracy with ball in hand and our ball retention for the rest of the game.

"It is very difficult to play without the ball and for big periods of that game we were forced to defend. When we did have the ball our ball retention and handling wasn't great.

"We struggled to get past three or four phases on numerous occasions and had something like 16 handling errors."

Wasps face Leinster and Leicester in their next two games.
