Brendan McKibbin handed three-week ban

London Irish scrum-half Brendan McKibbin is handed a three-week ban following his red card for stamping on Bath's Henry Thomas.

London Irish scrum-half Brendan McKibbin has been handed a three-week ban following his red card against Bath on Saturday.

The 30-year-old was dismissed for stamping on Henry Thomas during last weekend's match between the two sides at the Madejski Stadium, which Bath went on to win 45-14.

McKibbin pleaded guilty to the charge and will now be unable to play for Irish until their match against Harlequins on December 5, ruling him out of the upcoming European double-header and a domestic clash with Wasps.

London Irish are still searching for their first points of the new Aviva Premiership season, having lost all four of their matches to date.
