Tom Ryder makes Northampton Saints switch

Glasgow Warriors lock Tom Ryder makes the switch to Northampton Saints for the remainder of the season.

Glasgow Warriors lock Tom Ryder has joined Northampton Saints until the end of the season.

The Scot, 29, has been brought in to provide injury cover for Courtney Lawes, Christian Day and James Craig.

Ryder is available to face former club Leicester Tigers in the LV= Cup on Saturday.

"We're confident that Tom will be able to contribute fully," Northampton director of rugby Jim Mallinder told the club's official website. "We have a number of significant injuries in the second row, and Tom's experience and quality will be useful to have around the club over the next few months."

Ryder, who has won two caps for his country, moved to Glasgow from Saracens in 2011.
