Hull FC have confirmed that forward Mickey Paea will leave the club for the NRL at the end of the season.
The 29-year-old joined Hull from local rivals Hull Kingston Rovers at the start of the 2014 campaign.
Former Tonga international Paea is expected to name his new club later this week after rejecting a contract extension at the KC Stadium.
"We made every effort to keep him and put a significant financial offer on the table and to his credit he looked likely to commit his future to us had an opportunity of this nature not arisen in Australia, one which might not come around again," coach Lee Radford is quoted as saying by Sky Sports News.
Hull continue their Super League campaign on Friday when they host St Helens.
