California Chrome to run at Royal Ascot

Following his outing in the Dubai World Cup, California Chrome's next race will be at Royal Ascot in June.

US Horse of the Year California Chrome will race at Royal Ascot this year.

The four-year-old will soon be shipped to the UK from Dubai, where he finished second to Prince Bishop in the World Cup on Saturday.

Due to trainer Art Sherman's connections, the colt will be based at Rae Guest's stables in Newmarket.

"We are grateful for the opportunity to race at Royal Ascot and hopeful that California Chrome can put up a good show," said co-owner Perry Martin.

The Royal Ascot meeting gets underway on Tuesday, June 16.
