Ian Wright flies home following burglary

Former Arsenal and England striker Ian Wright flies home from the World Cup after burglars break into his London home.

Ian Wright has flown back to the UK from the World Cup after his wife and children were burgled by thieves armed with knives.

It is believed that four men broke into the former Arsenal striker's London home while he was working as a pundit in Brazil last night.

The 50-year-old's manager told The Sun: "It was a terrifying ordeal. They marched Ian's wife from room to room. I would like to thank ITV for helping Ian to get home as quickly as possible."

According to The Mirror, the gang held the knife to wife Nancy's throat while threatening to cut off their children's fingers if she did not give them cash and valuables during the break-in.
