Heather Watson: Internet trolls have "no life"

British number one Heather Watson says that internet users who send hurtful messages to her when she loses have "no life".

Heather Watson has said that internet trolls have "no life" after revealing that she is frequently targeted online when she loses.

The British number one opened up about being the subject of trolling ahead of the start of this year's Wimbledon, insisting that it no longer upsets her.

When asked about the type of people that send such messages following her win over Daniela Hantuchova, the world number 59 told reporters: "I think those people, they've got no life. They're just kind of cowards thinking they can say whatever they want on the internet. They don't understand that we're just people at the end of the day."

Watson faces world number one Serena Williams on Centre Court later today.
